Welcome to Mahakavi Kumaranashan Central School

Mahakavi Kumaranasan Central School started in the year 2004-2005 is managed by Sree

Narayana Gurudev Educational and Cultural Society. The Society is a registered, voluntary,

Social and Cultural Organisation. It endeavours to propagate the sublime ideals of Sree

Narayana Guru and Mahakavi Kumaranasan. Kumaranasan was a great poet and social

revolutionary who utilised the great potential lying hidden in English Literature to

inaugurate a new era in Malayalam Literature. He also fought against many social injustices

and inequalities that prevailed in society and brought about tremendous changes. He is a

source of inspiration and a role model for the generations to come.

The school in the new premises was formally inaugurated by Smt K.R Gouriamma,

Honourable agricultural minister of Kerala on 20th March 2005. The meeting was decided

over by adv. Adoor Prakash, Honourable Civil Supplies Minister of Kerala. The School was

shifted to the permanent site at Pallickal on 22 September 2005.It got CBSE Affiliation up to

10th standard in February 2007. Since May 2011, the school has been elevated to the status of

Senior Secondary School. Physics, Biology, Commerce and Arts streams have been sanctioned

by the school. The growth of the institution within a short period is indeed due to the

wholehearted support of the public, especially, the parents. The aim of starting the school

is to provide quality education to students.
